Currently, I am a Group Creative Director at Rosetta Marketing (the ad agency, not the translation software). Rosetta’s combination of creative firepower, in-house technology and razor-sharp consultancy brings projects that few agencies can take on. Like my own tendencies, the company moves quickly towards developing technologies and creative opportunities. Interestingly, this is the first year that I’m doing more mobile and social work than “traditional” digital. Helping clients like OfficeMax, Dannon and Coach (among others) harness cutting edge techniques to connect with customer has been some of the most fulfilling work I’ve ever done.
Before Rosetta (what seems like a lifetime ago), I was a partner and Executive Creative Director at my own small agency, KinderSong Partners, in NYC. I helped found the agency back in 2008, and within a year we were 9 people strong and agency of record for several notable clients as well as the outsourced digital shop for numerous traditional agencies. It was an incredible experience that taught me lessons about the sides of advertising that creatives aren’t commonly exposed to. I am a MUCH better creative and businessman today because of it.
My favorite accomplishment: writing, producing and art directing FutureMe, a career makeover show on MTV Europe in order to attract a younger audience for my client, Adecco Staffing. After the show ran, Adecco saw a 500% increase in recruiting.
A little luck, a lot of energy and my need to constantly learn has led me to advertising experiences in New York, New Jersey, Miami, Washington DC, London, Holland and Belgium. I’ve worked on tiny fashion boutique clients and huge corporations like GM, Intel, Nikon and the US Army. And I’ve insisted on learning every media leaving me with a portfolio balanced with web sites, eCommerce, mobile, social, display, TV, print, radio, outdoor, websites and non-traditional marketing.
